Training
Rapid Path can train your personnel to develop Web Application Rapid Prototypes (WARP) using our methods and tools. In addition to technical training on creating WARPs, there will also be a session tailored to the development process used by your project managers and leads ( XP, Scrum, Rational, etc. ). We show them how they can incorporate prototypes into their existing development process.
Prior to the training date, we conduct informal phone interviews to ensure that the training will be customized to your organization. A typical training event lasts for two days.
A Rapid Path trainer will arrive at your facility and present a half-day session for your project managers and leads. This session includes strategies on using prototypes for UI testing, focus groups, and market validation. We also offer an optional presentation for your sales and marketing team on how to use the prototype as collateral.
Formal training for development staff begins in the afternoon and continues the following day. Attendees of the training are required to be well acquainted with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and an image editing application such as Adobe Photoshop. The training session requires each attendee to have access to a computer for the duration of the session.
The session begins with an overview of the prototyping process. This is followed by a step-by-step creation of a demonstration prototype. By the end of the training, each attendee will have created a working prototype.
Attendees will master basic techniques and approaches, the use of Rapid Path templates and tools, how to affectively use images, and advanced approaches for simulating complex dynamic behavior. Each attendee receives a detailed workbook and a CD-ROM containing templates, tools, instructions, and sample prototypes.
Training attendees are subscribed to an ongoing series of email newsletters that will help to refresh the skills learned and ensure a continued interest in prototyping.
Rapid Path's training costs are consistent with most training for technical topics and skills. After collecting some basic information about your technical staff, we will respond with a proposal specific to your training needs.
We are confident that including WARP in your development process will benefit your organization in numerous ways. Click here to initiate your Rapid Path WARP training estimate.
